GREYING HAIR

Dec 31, 2023

As we grow older the amount of melanin we produce decreases, thus producing gray hair. There are many things we can do to treat the grey hair superficially. However, what we eat can prevent the greying of hair much more efficiently. Eating foods high in B12, Vitamin E and A can slow this process down.

Mushrooms are a great superfood for your hair because of the iron. Iron helps the body make more proteins that are needed for red blood cells. This protein is called hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is the element of the blood that carries in the oxygen. The more oxygen your scalp receives, the more it helps the scalp and the scalp's properties to heal and grow. Remember, your body needs to heal and grow from the inside out.

Selenium is also a key property in mushrooms. Selenium is high in antioxidants, which are a factor in protecting the cells. Antioxidants are important because they help clear the body from radicals that weight in on premature aging. Selenium works by catalyzing enzymes to clean these radicals.

Mush Eating mushrooms means that your copper intake also increases.

Copper has a positive correlation with the production of melanin and collagen. Enzymes that make melanin for the skin and hair use copper to catalyze this process.

Hyaluronic acid is a must have in skin care products. It helps the skin get its “bounce” back. But what if we eat hyaluronic acid? It will help nourish and hydrate all of the cells in our body. Not only does aging show in the face, But it shows throughout the whole body. For example, the skin on our knees can sag and the plumpness of the arms can fade over time

The vitamin D presented in mushrooms also contributes to fighting acne. Vitamin D helps in preventing breakouts because they are antioxidant and anti- comedogenic, and anti inflammatory.
